Posted by After concluding the drilling of Três Marias (with gas reports), drilling rig Ocean Courage is now on the area of Dois Irmãos, ready to drill Petrobras’ next wildcat. This block was acquired on the 4th Production Sharing Bid Round (2018) by Petrobras, with partners BP and Equinor.
The drilling was originally scheduled for 2020 but had to be postponed due to COVID economic impacts. Petrobras already drilled two other wells in the region: 1-BRSA-1376D-RJS (Naru, C-M-657) which had gas shows and 1-BRSA-1378-RJS with no HC reports. The company is also drilling on nearby block Alto de Cabo Frio Central.
