Following the recent declaration of commerciality for ๐ข๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ฎ and ๐ฆ๐๐น ๐ฑ๐ฒ ๐ข๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ฎ fields (๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐น๐ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ผ-๐ฑ๐ผ-๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ผ), Shell has applied for multiple drilling permits, which could indicate the drilling program for the development of the area. The license includes 10 new well locations as well as the reentry and completion of 2 wells. During the exploration phase, four wells were drilled: ๐ญ-๐ฆ๐๐๐-๐ฎ๐ฏ-๐ฅ๐๐ฆ, ๐ฏ-๐ฆ๐๐๐-๐ฎ๐ณ-๐ฅ๐๐ฆ, ๐ฏ-๐ฆ๐๐๐-๐ฏ๐ฌ-๐ฅ๐๐ฆ, and ๐ฏ-๐ฆ๐๐๐-๐ฏ๐ฎ๐-๐ฅ๐๐ฆ.
According to the project schedule, activities are expected to take place in the first quarter of 2027. The Orca project targets pre-salt carbonate reservoirs, with condensate and natural gas as the main fluids from the ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ฎ ๐ฉ๐ฒ๐น๐ต๐ฎ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐บ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป. The recoverable resources in the newly declared fields are estimated at approximately 370 million barrels, with plans to install an FPSO built by MODEC capable of producing up to 120,000 barrels of oil per day.
