𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴

ANP has approved the Hematita geoeconomic valuation project, located in the northern Campos basin, near fields operated by Petrobras, PRIO, Shell, and Perenco. The area has been divided into four blocks within the Pre-Salt polygon: 𝗛𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗮 (1,653 km²), 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗮 (2,008 km²), 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗮 (1,993 km²), and 𝗦𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮 (1,599 km²), totaling more than 7,200 km².

Initially, the area also included a fifth exploration block called Oeste de Jubarte. However, this block has been temporarily excluded, as it includes parts of the pre-salt accumulations in the Jubarte and Caxaréu fields, raising discussions regarding the Production Individualization Agreement (AIP).

These new areas join another 24 previously approved blocks for what is shaping up to be the Brazil’s biggest production sharing bid in terms of the amount of offered acreage. Check out the other areas on offer in our previous post: https://lnkd.in/dxqtbDC2
