ANP has approved the Hematita geoeconomic valuation project, located in the northern Campos basin, near fields operated by Petrobras, PRIO, Shell, and Perenco. The area has been divided into four blocks within the Pre-Salt polygon: ๐๐ฒ๐บ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐๐ฎ (1,653 kmยฒ), ๐ ๐ฎ๐ด๐ป๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐๐ฎ (2,008 kmยฒ), ๐๐ถ๐บ๐ผ๐ป๐ถ๐๐ฎ (1,993 kmยฒ), and ๐ฆ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ฎ (1,599 kmยฒ), totaling more than 7,200 kmยฒ.
Initially, the area also included a fifth exploration block called Oeste de Jubarte. However, this block has been temporarily excluded, as it includes parts of the pre-salt accumulations in the Jubarte and Caxarรฉu fields, raising discussions regarding the Production Individualization Agreement (AIP).
These new areas join another 24 previously approved blocks for what is shaping up to be the Brazilโs biggest production sharing bid in terms of the amount of offered acreage. Check out the other areas on offer in our previous post: https://lnkd.in/dxqtbDC2
