Posted by Last week (August 17th), ANP released the schedule regarding the 2nd Open Acreage Round under the Production Sharing regime and the 4th Open Acreage Round under the Concession regime. The Public Presentation of Offers for both is scheduled to take place on December 13th.
For the Production Sharing bid, the blocks available are: Ágata, Cruzeiro do Sul, Esmeralda, Jade, and Tupinambá, located in Santos basin; and Turmalina, located in Campos basin. Água Marinha, Norte de Brava, Sudoeste de Sagitário, and Bumerangue were acquired in the last round, and Itaimbezinho was removed from this round. Currently, 13 companies are registered to take part in the bid: bp Energy, Chevron, CNODC Brasil Petróleo e Gás, CNOOC International, Ecopetrol, Equinor, Galp, Petrobras, PETRONAS, QatarEnergy, SINOPEC, Shell and TotalEnergies.
For the Concession bid, Japiim marginal accumulation field is on offer, as well as 955 exploration blocks, located in: Santos (252), Potiguar (207), Pelotas (165), Sergipe-Alagoas (78), Foz do Amazonas (47), Espírito Santo (46), Tucano (39), Recôncavo (27), Parecis (21), Amazonas (21), Campos (17), Camamu-Almada (12), Pernambuco-Paraíba (9), Jacuípe (5), Parnaíba (4), Ceará (3) and Paraná (2). Currently, 82 companies are registered to bid on these areas.
Both blocks and sectors which receive interest will be announced on October 16th, and companies have until September 28th to submit a declaration of interest in the areas on offer.
