The current acquisition polygon has an approximate area of 6,283 km², starts at a water depth of 500 meters, and covers part of Sergipe-Alagoas basin. According to the PIRAMBU-NORTE project’s schedule, activities should take place in May 2024, expected to be completed in 90 days.

This region has never been drilled before and includes multiple blocks on Open Acreage (SEAL-M-212, SEAL-M-214, SEAL-M-28, SEAL-M-283, SEAL-M-355, SEAL-M-279), all classified as Deep and Ultra Deep Water. In 2021, a little further south, Petrobras declared the commerciality of several fields, the first ones in this basin’s deep waters.
