PRIO got the green light from ๐๐๐๐ ๐, enabling the next development phase at the ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฒ๐น๐ฑ, Campos basin. The updated license covers the drilling of up to 14 wells across 9 locations, including 5 pilot wells – each with potential sidetrack developments, and 4 standalone wells. The campaign is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2026, with operations to be carried out by the ๐๐๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ค๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ป rig, which is currently operating in the development of the ๐ช๐ฎ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฒ๐น๐ฑ.
After acquiring Chevronโs stake in 2019, PRIO assumed operatorship of Frade and initiated a revitalization strategy aimed at extending the fieldโs productive life while enhancing reservoir understanding and maximizing recovery efficiency. This campaign represents Phase 3 of Frade’s Revitalization Plan.
