Last week, Petrobras was granted a license to drill in the ๐—–-๐— -๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿณ๐Ÿณ block, located in ultra-deep waters of the Campos basin. According to available documents, at least one well is planned to be drilled, with a contingent backup well as an option, and the operation should be carried out by ODN II rig.

In addition to the state-owned company, bp holds a 30% stake in the block, which was acquired in 2019 during the 16th Concession Round for approximately BRL 2 billion. The area is near the ๐—ฅ๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ฎ ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐˜๐—ฎ and ๐—ฅ๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ฎ ๐—ฃ๐—ถ๐—ป๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐—ฎ fields and slightly northeast of well ๐Ÿญ-๐—ฆ๐—›๐—˜๐—Ÿ-๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿฒ-๐—ฅ๐—๐—ฆ, currently being drilled by Shell in block C-M-659 (read more about this drilling in our latest publication: https://lnkd.in/d4Zmyv8t
