ANP has approved the Hematita geoeconomic valuation project, located in the northern Campos basin, near fields operated by Petrobras, PRIO, Shell, and Perenco. The area has been divided into four blocks within the Pre-Salt polygon: ๐—›๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐˜๐—ฎ (1,653 kmยฒ), ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ป๐—ฒ๐˜๐—ถ๐˜๐—ฎ (2,008 kmยฒ), ๐—Ÿ๐—ถ๐—บ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ถ๐˜๐—ฎ (1,993 kmยฒ), and ๐—ฆ๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐˜๐—ฎ (1,599 kmยฒ), totaling more than 7,200 kmยฒ.

Initially, the area also included a fifth exploration block called Oeste de Jubarte. However, this block has been temporarily excluded, as it includes parts of the pre-salt accumulations in the Jubarte and Caxarรฉu fields, raising discussions regarding the Production Individualization Agreement (AIP).

These new areas join another 24 previously approved blocks for what is shaping up to be the Brazilโ€™s biggest production sharing bid in terms of the amount of offered acreage. Check out the other areas on offer in our previous post: https://lnkd.in/dxqtbDC2
