On October 30th, ๐๐ž๐ญ๐ซ๐จ๐›๐ซ๐š๐ฌ announced the first oil from the ๐…๐๐’๐Ž ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐ž๐œ๐ก๐š๐ฅ ๐ƒ๐ฎ๐ช๐ฎ๐ž ๐๐ž ๐‚๐š๐ฑ๐ข๐š๐ฌ, five months after it arrived in Brazilian waters in late May. Located in the Mero field, this unit joins three other platforms: FPSO Sepetiba, FPSO Guanabara, and FPSO Pioneiro de Libra. With a production capacity of up to 180,000 bbl/day of oil and 12 million mยณ/day of gas, the MDDC will be connected to 15 wells (8 producers and 7 injectors).

West of Mero, another pre-salt giant also received new infrastructure. On October 25th, FPSO Almirante Tamandarรฉ arrived onsite having left its shipyard in China 3 months ago. With a capacity to produce up to 225,000 bbl/day of oil and process 12 million mยณ/day of gas, Almirante Tamandarรฉ will be the largest FPSO ever installed in Brazil. This unit joins five other FPSOs in Bรบzios: P-74, P-75, P-76, P-77, and Almirante Barroso.
