Imetame plans to further develop the Rio Ipiranga field, located on onshore Espírito Santo, in 2024. The company plans to drill seven wells, with two (7-RIP-5-ES and 7-RIP-6-ES) already drilled in 2023 and the third one (7-RIP-7-ES) spudded earlier this year. The IME-01 rig is responsible for the drillings, while the IME-02 rig carries out testing and completion operations.
Rio Ipiranga field was declared commercial in 2008, with Imetame assuming the operation in 2018. The company also has plans to develop the Águia Real and Batuíra fields, both declared commercial in 2023. These fields are operated by 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘅𝗮𝗯𝗮 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗮, a joint venture between Imetame and EnP.
Onshore Espírito Santo has seen investment from companies in order to increase production in both new and mature fields. 2023’s average oil production was approximately 8,600 bopd, compared to 7,100 bopd in 2022.
