This week, Ibama approved an 8-year operating license for FSO Pargo in the Pargo Cluster, Campos Basin. The FSO (Floating, Storage & Offloading) had some refurbishment work done previously in Dubai to extend its operating life in 20 years and to align with Brazilian standards.
The Pargo Cluster includes Carapeba, Pargo and Vermelho fields and has been under Perenco‘s operation since 2019, after it was acquired from Petrobras for USD 398 million. Since the acquisition, Perenco has been conducting an extensive workover campaign which increased the assets production to around 20,000 bbl/day.
