Petrobras announced last Friday, January 28th, the approval of the transfer of ownership regarding assets from the Potiguar Cluster in northeastern Brazil. The value of the transaction involving 3R Petroleum is US$ 1.38 billion.
The Potiguar Cluster consists of 22 fields divided into two onshore subclusters (Canto do Amaro and Alto do Rodrigues) and one in shallow waters (Ubarana). Since 1976, it has produced over 750,000,000 boe, and last year averaged around 20,800 bbl/day of oil and 58,500 m³/day of gas.
