Last week, November 4th, ExxonMobil notified oil shows on Titã (operated in partnership with QatarEnergy) after two and half months of drilling. This is Exxon’s second HC notification this year, after their Opal prospect (1-EMEB-1A-RJS) had oil and gas shows back in July.
It is worth noticing that since 2019, 7 wells have been drilled in deeper, new frontier areas testing new pre-salt limits in Campos and Santos. Even though only two of them had no HC notification (Saturno and C-M-709), we haven’t seen any announcements from the companies regarding reservoir and oil quality, possible commerciality, or development plans.
Apart from those mentioned above, we can see drilling licenses on 10 other blocks in the area, operated by 5 different companies: Chevron, ExxonMobil, Petrobras, Shell, and TotalEnergies.
