June 25th, 2020, that was when Petrobras announced the beginning of Atapu’s production. A year later and the same field figures around the top 6 producers of the country. It has already produced more than 20 million barrels of oil and almost 700 million cubic meters of gas through only two wells (9-ATP-1-RJS and 3-BRSA-1172-RJS). The last 3 months averaged around 109,000 boe/day.
Another two wells are responsible for reinjecting 80% of the produced gas. According to data from ANP, gas composition is around 26.5% carbon dioxide.
