𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗢 𝐆𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐖𝐚𝐡𝐨𝐨 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗢 has received the Operating License (LO) from 𝗜𝗕𝗔𝗠𝗔 for the 𝗪𝗮𝗵𝗼𝗼 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱, completing the final regulatory step before the first oil.

Last year, in March, 𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗢 started a drilling campaign for the development of this asset in the 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻. In total, four wells were drilled, the latest being 7-WAH-4D-ESS, spudded in early January 2026 by the Hunter Queen rig.

𝗪𝗮𝗵𝗼𝗼’s production system was designed as a 35 km subsea tieback to the FPSO Valente, located in the 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱. The unit has a processing capacity of 100,000 barrels of oil per day. Currently, Frade produces approximately 30,000 bopd, while 𝗪𝗮𝗵𝗼𝗼 is expected to add up to 40,000 bopd once fully operational.
