𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘀 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗯𝗼 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗼 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹

The drilling of the appraisal well 𝟯-𝗕𝗥𝗦𝗔-𝟭𝟯𝟵𝟴-𝗥𝗝𝗦 began on February 24th in the Alto de Cabo Frio Central block (ALTO_CF_CE), carried out by the West Polaris rig. The block was acquired by a 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘀/𝗯𝗽 consortium in the 3rd Round of Production Sharing for BRL 500 million.

The state-owned company had previously drilled the block at the beginning of 2022, reporting oil shows in the 𝟭-𝗕𝗥𝗦𝗔-𝟭𝟯𝟴𝟯𝗔-𝗥𝗝𝗦 well. This discovery turned into a Development Assessment Plan (PAD 48610.231215/2023-13), which applies only to its northernmost area, precisely where the latest drilling activities have taken place. There are still no drilling efforts on the southernmost portion of the block.
