Posted by Recently, ๐๐๐๐ ๐ approved the research license requested by Viridien for a 3D seismic acquisition project on the ๐๐พ๐๐ฎ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ด๐ถ๐ป. The project, Megabar Extension, is an extension of the 2016 project known as Megabar. The area, situated mostly in the deepwater regions of Barreirinhas basin, is one of Brazilโs exploratory frontiers, and its exploration will be crucial in the upcoming years. It contains several blocks currently under study that could be offered in the next bid rounds.
Viridien also has an ongoing licensing process for a 3D survey in Foz do Amazonas, covering most of the deepwater portion of the basin and 42 blocks included in the next open acreage cycle.
