Last month, on July 18th, Origem Energia began drilling well π-ππππ-ππ-ππ in the Pilar production field. The area is located in the onshore portion of the Alagoas basin and started producing in 1982. Petrobras operated it until 2022. Following Petrobras‘s divestment of the Alagoas Cluster, which also includes Paru, Furado, AnambΓ©, and ArapaΓ§u fields, Origem Energia acquired the cluster for R$300 million.
The drilling is taking place in the northernmost part of the ππ’π₯ππ« ππ’ππ₯π, aiming to extend one of the mapped prospects. Pilar currently has around 300 wells drilled and has been producing an average of 5,400 boe/day over the last three months.
