Posted by Earlier this week, ANP approved the Discovery Evaluation Plan (PAD) related to well 1-BRSA-1383A-RJS, known as PAD Alto de Cabo Frio Central-Noroeste. The well, drilled in 2022, had positive results in pre-salt reservoirs in the Alto do Cabo Frio Central block, situated between the Campos and Santos basins. The block was acquired on the 3rd Production Sharing Bid Round by the consortium Petrobras (50%) and bp (50%).
Petrobras is also required to submit the Exploration Work Plan (PTE) within 30 days. Regarding the discovery evaluation, the company has until 2027 to decide whether it is commercially viable.
