Semi-sub Norbe VI began drilling appraisal 3-PRIO-1-RJS in early April and currently remains on location.
Last week, PRIO released its Results Report featuring a map of Frade field containing five potential prospects, among them Maracanã. A few days later, the company reported hydrocarbon indications in the Maracanã prospect related to two different targets: Eocene sandstones (primary target) and Miocene sandstones (secondary target).
PRIO has been operating Frade since 2019 and is currently carrying out a rejuvenation program with a drilling campaign. According to company reports, the field produced around 48.5 thousand boed in April, a 227% increase in comparison to year-ago levels.
Our Geoscience Team worked on understanding these possible targets by analyzing one of our legacy seismic surveys. Check it out on the gif below.
