Five months after successfully conducting a formation test, Petrobras returns to Aram in order to further evaluate the Curaçao discovery made in 2021. Drillship Brava Star is currently stationary at a water depth of almost 2,000 meters, 10 km south of the previous drilling location (SPS-108), where a new appraisal is expected (SPS-109).
Aram was acquired in the 6th Production Sharing Bidding Round (2019) for R$ 5.05 billion. The area is operated by Petrobras and has CNODC as a partner in the consortium.
