Tiê Field

The Tiê field was declared commercial in 2012, when it was operated by Gran Tierra. It is currently operated by Maha Energy, after they bought all Gran Tierra assets for 35 million dollars back in 2017.

It is one of the most representative fields in the Recôncavo Basin. The well 7TIE4HEBA, drilled at the end of 2021, produced around 1,200 boepd in its first months of production.

This area is controlled by normal faults in a structurally conditioned low/plateau geometry in the context of the Recôncavo basin. The hydrocarbon accumulations are found in structural highs formed by the control of the faults which serve as migration routes.
