The discovery is located on the block PN-T-102A, acquired on the First Cycle of Open Acreage (2019) for R$530,275. In September 2020, a wildcat well was drilled one year after the bid, followed by an appraisal well in November. In total, it took around 1.5 years from acquisition to commerciality.
Preliminary estimates indicate reserves of approximately 6.78 billion cubic meters of gas in the area – previously known as Fortuna – which shall be called Gavião Belo.
