For the first publication in our collaboration with the Federal University of Ceara (UFC), we are excited to highlight the research paper โSeismic stratigraphic patterns and characterization of deepwater reservoirs of the Mundaรบ sub-basin, Brazilian Equatorial Marginโ by Karen Leopoldino and her team, published in 2020. This work delves into the seismic stratigraphy of the Mundaรบ sub-basin, uncovering new insights into its tectonic evolution and hydrocarbon potential.
The study provides a detailed analysis of deepwater sediment sequences, revealing promising leads, particularly in Late Albian through Turonian sediments. Significant insights are also presented, considering the basin formation process, the interplay of stratigraphic and structural factors, and the influence of magmatic processes. These findings not only enhance our understanding of the region but also highlight the exploration of the deepwater Cearรก Basin.
