Earlier this week, on August 5th, Petrobras announced a gas discovery in the Tayrona block, located in Colombia’s deep waters. The block is operated by the Brazilian company, which holds a 44.44% WI, in a consortium with Ecopetrol.
The Uchuva-2 drilling that yielded positive results began last month, on June 19, confirming the extension of the gas discovery at the Uchuva-1 well, which was drilled in 2022. A formation test is expected by the end of 2024, to further evaluate this discovery
