After completing the acquisition of the Golfinho cluster recently, BW Energy is already planning further developments in the asset. In early October, the company requested a drilling license consisting of 4 wells: 3 oil producers in Maastrichtian reservoirs and an additional gas and condensate producer in Santonian intervals.
According to the released schedule, these drillings are planned for the end of 2025, with the first oil expected in the first half of 2026. BW Energy bought multiple assets from Petrobras on offshore Espírito Santo in 2022 for USD 75 million. These include Golfinho (oil producer), Canapu (gas producer), BM-ES-23 exploration block, Camarupim, and Camarupim Norte (gas producers).
